How to get out of bastion of chaos in Grim Dawn? ›

Levels 2 to 4 make up one of Grim Dawn's sealed "Roguelike" dungeons. A crafted Skeleton Key is required to continue beyond the first level and the player cannot use a riftgate to exit; the only way out is via death or completing all levels.

The Bastion of Chaos is a world area in Act 4 and forms part of the Chthonic Void. The area is accessed via a Chthonic Rift, located in the northernmost part of the Necropolis Interior, beyond the Necropolis Bridge Repair Site. Levels 2 to 4 make up one of Grim Dawn's sealed "Roguelike" Challenge Dungeons.

The Forlorn Bastion is a secret world area in Act 7. It can be accessed via a hidden path south of the Korvan Sands riftgate, on the west side of the trail, right after crossing the border to the Korvan Plateau. The area is the location for finding the Second Seal of Morgoneth for the Paying Debts quest.

Sorrow's Bastion is a small area in Act 3. It has a Riftgate and connects to the Fallow Fields and The Blood Grove. The area consists of a ruined fortification which holds the headquarters for Kymon's Chosen and the Order of Death's Vigil factions.

You can certainly abandon an in-progress Bounty Quest, Side Quest, or Caravan Quest. There's progress squares to check once you've completed each part (Side Quests) that serve as a save state for that quest.

You only get the loot when you complete all of it but you can abandon the chaos chamber by opening the menu and choosing the tab at the right. Then you have to hold esc to exit.

You can now play the entirety of the game up to the level cap on the difficulty that's enjoyable to you. To support this, level scaling has been updated on Normal and Elite difficulty. Many areas on Normal now scale up to level 100. Elite difficulty now scales up to level 100 in all areas.

Max level is 85 in the base game, and 100 with the Ashes of Malmouth expansion.

You could try your luck slaying Wendigos near the Barrowholm Riftgate. Alternatively, the blacksmith over at the Malmouth Outskirts can craft Wendigo Spirits. If you provide him with Aetherial Missives.

The Item Stash is an extension of a character's inventory and can be used to store items which aren't immediately needed by the character. Items stored in the Item Stash can be accessed from any Smuggler in the game. The Item Transfer area is an inventory space which makes items available to all a player's characters.

Grim Dawn features a wide variety of chests that can be found. They range from classic treasure chests to corpses, tree stumps and rocks.

Master Varuuk is located in the Bastion of the Order, which can be found just to the left of the Sorrow's Bastion Riftgate.

Bastion is received from the Scouting Map in Oribos, which can be viewed during Threads of Fate breadcrumb quests by speaking to Tal-Inara.

Sorrow Field is basically a random dungeon right after the root mother fight, located in westcourt.

Grim Dawn can be tackled on three increasingly challenging difficulties: Normal, Elite and Ultimate. Each subsequent difficulty is unlocked by defeating the Final Boss of the game on the previous difficulty (ex. to unlock Elite Difficulty, you must first complete Normal Difficulty).

The Hidden Path is accessed by unblocking a secret area in Lower Crossing. Three (two at Elite and Normal) Dynamite are required for the Detonation Site. A small hidden side-area can then be explored, at the end of which lies the Guardian of Dreeg boss creature.

"You can enable Veteran mode at any time prior to loading a character into the world, and can similarly disable it again should it prove too difficult." That means at the main menu. It says prior to loading a character into the world, prior is before.

Go to Devil's Crossing (first town), through the gate on the left, and find a character called Sahdina, the Spirit Guide. She's in one of the cells. Keep in mind that you can reset skills and devotions but you cannot undo the mastery bar progress and attribute points.
