The summer transfer window is well underway as clubs up and down the land get their squads primed and trimmed ahead of the new season.

One club who have certainly being doing that is Rangers. Philippe Clement's Ibrox rebuild is in full swing and the recent arrivals of Connor Barron, Clinton Nsiala and Jefte have helped to reduce the average age of the squad at his disposal. The Light Blues are set to continue their pursuit of young, emerging talents and forward Hamza Igamane could be the next man through the doors at Auchenhowie. Going the other way, Todd Cantwell has been linked with a lucrative switch to Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah, where he could be reunited with former Gers CEO James Bisgrove.

On the other side of the Glasgow, Celtic are poised to complete the permanent signing of striker Adam Idah, as exclusively revealed by Record Sport. The Hoops are still in the hunt for a new goalkeeper to replace Joe Hart, wit Kasper Schmeichel now the latest to be linked with the role. But would Brendan Rodgers prefer a much younger stopper to the veteran 37-year-old? Caoimhin Kelleher may be the dream target but a deal for the Liverpool understudy is highly unlikely.

Aberdeen are currently in Portugal on a warm-weather training camp under new manager Jimmy Thelin, but are without star forward Duk, who is a notable absentee due to a 'medical issue'. Meanwhile, down in Edinburgh, David Gray has bolstered his options at Hibs with two new additions and also keen to be reunited with former Hibees teammate Simon Murray who enjoyed a stellar campaign in front of goal for Ross County last season.

City rivals Hearts have been very active in the market with Steven Naismith bolstering his squad with several signings including Blair Spittal, Musa Drammeh anff Yan Dhanda. More are expected to follow, and although Costa Rican right back Gerald Taylor has been SFA approval for his switch, the defender must await the granting of a visa before he can make the trip to Gorgie.

Cyriel Dessers fee 'set' by Rangers

Rangers reportedly want to recoup every penny of Cyriel Dessers' £4.5m transfer fee if they are to sell him this summer - with the queue for the striker seemingly growing.

Dessers joined from Cremonese last summer and his debut season at Ibrox was an enigmatic one. Saudi clubs are also said to be "monitoring" the striker and it seems the 29-year-old still has some sell-on value if Rangers do decide to part ways. The Rangers Review are reporting they want to bank £4.5m to cancel out the fee they spent on the striker 12 months ago.
