Restaurant
The seafood restaurant Taste My Aruba is a popular stop for visitors to the Island. The menu features fresh fish and seafood, with no set menu. The premise of the restaurant is that whatever is caught that day is the main attraction, so patrons can expect to enjoy dishes such as tuna tataki and local wahoo.
We spent Christmas eve at Taste My Aruba. We ordered several dishes including the local lobster. The food was delicious and fresh. The staff were not only attentive but so much fun! We got hugs when we left and great conversation with all the employees! Definitely our favorite place we’ve eaten since we arrived in Aruba. Probably, the best experience we’ve had on any vacation!

Absolutely top notch from food, customer service and ambiance! We all felt right at home. Sam and Victor took care of us all night and we even met the owner who was such a joy! You get the feel of Aruba not only from the food but the people there too. Nothing but love and a chill atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

This place is a 20 minute walk from the cruise terminal. The food, ambiance, service is over the top! Our party of ten had the most perfect evening. Don’t miss out take a night off eating on the cruise ship and come have dinner in this gem of a place

Taste My Aruba was one of the best highlights of our trip, arguably THEE best. We did the co*cktail-making experience, followed by dinner afterward. The staff was terrific, the drinks exquisite, and the dinner phenomenal. The photos attached speak for themselves. The cucumber martini and shrimp pasta were my favorites.
Shahroon Rana — Google review
The waitress, waiter, and bartender were all so kind and attentive. Went with my husband and 11 year old. The food was great and the outdoor seating area in the back was lovely and perfect
Josie Scaletta — Google review
co*cktails were top notch. Some of the food was great, like the rainbow octopus dish, but fish soup and shrimp pasta were under seasoned. I did enjoy the grilled snapper but the accompaniments were not good. Complimentary funchi was one of the better bites that we had. Great atmosphere and decor. Very tasteful and the open kitchen is definitely ig worthy.

This place is a hidden gem. I was lucky to get there for lunch. They close around 3pm and reopen around 6pm. It’s a small restaurant and you are able to see the kitchen throughout the restaurant. Everyone was friendly. Will definitely return in the near future.
Hippie Obsession — Google review
Nice seafood restaurant in Oranjestad. Quaint open courtyard area in the back. They aim to focus on locally caught or grown products. I had the grilled octopus hot appetizer and a special they had on curried conch with some pinot grigio by the glass. Service was good and efficient.

We had an excellent dinner here. They have an open air patio in the back of the restaurant. We made a reservation the day before. We had the white sangria which was fruity and not too sweet. Then we had meatballs and ceviche. Then for entrees we had a king fish plate and a barracuda fish plate. I actually liked the barracuda the best. Then we split a bread pudding with ice cream. Food was great, service was excellent, would definitely consider this place again.

NIce spot for great food. A little pricey, but worth it for sure. I had the lobster pasta and my wife had The Amber Jack. Service was on point. We will definitely return. Everything is fresh from the sea to the table.

Excellent place to enjoy a meal on a date or to celebrate a special night. The food was well prepared and service was impecable. They had several creative things to try.

💯💯🌹 Best overall meal in Aruba but it is a little off of the beaten path. This place has a great vibe and really feels like a get away. They meatballs and the seafood risotto are delicious!!! Definitely order those. The filet mignon was also great and the lobster pasta is good. For dessert we had the cashew cake which was sweet but not too rich and not creamy more nutty. If you want authentic Aruban food I highly recommend this spot.

We wanted to dine somewhere local on our stop in Aruba and had found Taste My Aruba online prior to our trip. It did not disappoint. The walk from the cruise port was not bad at all, the atmosphere of the restaurant was also very beautiful. The staff was very friendly and felt like a family working together to host a dinner for friends. The food was very good - especially the Baraccuda and Black Squid Ink Pasta. I highly recommend it as a stop if anyone has extra time in Aruba and wants to eat somewhere nice with fresh food.

Glen was the happiest, friendliest, and most kind waiter I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in a long time. He clearly loves his job and loves meeting people. Glen is awesome. The food was amazing! The chef clearly takes so much pride in what he puts on a plate. The plating is beautiful and the food tastes as good as the plate looks.Everything was super fresh. We even saw guys bringing in fish they caught that day for the chef to use that evening.Every person at the restaurant after taking their first bite either said “oh my god this is so good” or made the yum sound we all know and love. The restaurant is in a beautiful old building that is very well taken care of and it shows in the decor. We sat in the open air back courtyard that gave off European vibes. It was so cool.Heads up - no AC.You should definitely eat at this restaurant.

Just left dinner at this amazing restaurant. The service was absolutely fantastic and his recommendations were spot on. The owner was so sweet and made us feel like family!! As for the food, they did not disappoint as figured with their positive reviews from so many. The food was so fresh and we even saw the wahoo coming in from delivery. Every course was amazing and our party of 5 raved about every meal and course. We can not wait to come back on our next trip. I would definitely make this a staple if visiting Aruba.
David Lazaro — Google review
Unimpressive food that is overpriced. My friend recommended this place. Maybe I didn't order the right dish? This is my 8th dinner in Aruba, so if someone is telling me this is the taste of Aruba I don't believe it. I have had way better food on the island for less. It took a long time before our appetizer was served, like 40 mins. What's worse - we ordered the special of the day, the seafood pasta. Guess what is the most frequently appearing “seafood” on that pasta plate - fake crab meat!! Hello, if you are charging near $50 for a seafood pasta and we are on an island with an abundance of seafood, at least don't be so ridiculous with the fake seafood you put on it. One order of mussles come with only 6 while they charged the usual price. Overcooked and tasted like rubber.Disappointed in the food. Service is okay besides the long wait time to arrival of food.

Very elegantly restored restaurant in the heart of Aruba downtown Oranjestad. No air conditioning but very cozy inside and out. Enjoy the fresh air in a nostalgic-looking place. Whether you are on the lookout for breakfast, lunch or dinner Taste My Aruba will have something on the menu to complement your taste buts

Don't write off this restaurant because of the name, it is really a special experience. The design is beautiful and transports you to a different time. The co*cktails are delicious and unique and the food was really amazing. An Aruban culinary experience.

The Pastechi House is a restaurant located in the heart of the city on the main street with trolley tracks. The food is affordable and there are many different types of smoothies to choose from. The owner was kind and welcoming, ordering different varieties of smoothies including the Chop Soy, Salmon, Keri Keri and beef smoothies as well as smoothie soursop which was really good.
My girl got the Caramel and I got the Red Velvet. Delicious smoothies this place had. Not far from the coast and on the main street where the trolley tracks are. If you are walking around in the heat and need a place to drink a cold smoothie for 10 minutes this is the place.

If you’re in the area The Pastechi House is a go to for affordable snacks. These mini pastries, reminiscent of empanadas, are stuffed with savory cheeses and meats. Perfect for a satisfying and wallet-friendly bite on the go! We tried the ham and cheese and cheese.
leonard brienza — Google review
Pastechi are a must try in Aruba! It’s the country’s version of an empanada but the dough is a little sweet. The Pastechi House is located downtown within walking distance of the cruise ports and the Renaissance. It’s about an 8 minute drive from the airport. There’s many flavors to please everyone’s palate. Please do not leave Aruba without trying a pastechi.
Leslie Diaz — Google review
I was very, very excited to find this place after numerous recommendations from others, and, social media notoriety...I consider myself a "pro" when it comes to these dumpling shaped snacks... here in Aruba, they're called "pastechi" [pahs TEH chee], while in the Dominican Republic, they're called "pastelitos" or in Mexico, "empanadas" -- anyway you pronounce it, this place was suppose to be one of the best... it wasn't... lots of fanfare outside on the facade of the building, but the product was not impressive...a very small amount of ground beef (labeled "Angus steak") was surrounded by a large amount of pastry dough... the taste was bland...The crust did have a flakyness, but the really small amount of meat, the lack of cleanliness of the location, and the standoffishness of the older gentleman at the register, really let me down for a long awaited experience...Not tasty, the beef variety is pictured, price is very reasonable at around $2 USD a piece...One highlight is their bathroom is very clean and private... ask for the key...I included a lot of photos in anticipation of trying this product....

Best Pastechi we tried in Aruba❤️ It’s Affordable and the owner was courteous and friendly, we ordered different varieties the one that stands out for us are Chop soy, Salmon, Keri Keri and beef we also ordered smoothies soursop is really good😊 it’s so sad that a lot of stores are closed due to the pandemic… when in Aruba I highly recommend to try local food and support local businesses not only you will help them but you will enjoy the food and get to know them😊

Food was very good. We really appreciated that everything was labeled. 4 food items and a smoothie was approximately $40 USD. We wondered, after arriving at the airport to return home😒, that the prices didn't seem to add up with the menu prices. The food was good enough to recommend the restaurant, but double check your receipt before you leave.Cashier was grumpy.
Consuela Hiawatha — Google review
Had to experience this place based on recommendations from YouTube. Took the bus downtown, got lost for a little bit, but finally found it. Definitely worth it. I really thought the flaky crust and the crunch on the pastechi's here were a lot better than the few other places i tried them. Cheese and beef were my favorites.
Phi Chi — Google review
Get as many flavors of pastechi as you can and try them all! Super good.
Kinzi H — Google review
Cash only. Street parking around the corner. Order at the counter. Quick to take the order, warm we got them. I really enjoyed the lobster and the ham with cheese.
Elaine Lee — Google review
As recommended by many you have to try pastechi when you are in Aruba, so we did.We went there to have them for breakfast as they don't qualify for a full lunch and are similar to pastries we have in Greece for breakfast. We got 4 types, cheese, ham and cheese, samosa and spanakopita and then a dedito which is basically similar to a mozzarella stick but feels "healthier" (not really just feels that way :p) from the pastechi, the samosa tasted more like a samosa but the spanakopita, while good, could not compare to a Greek spanakopita. It was good, just that it has to compare to a dish I know well. My favorite was the plain cheese one.Nice breakfast that was fast and cheap. Will definitely go back for another visit before we leave our vacation here.
Chris Karavoulias (BostonGreekGeek) — Google review
Cash only. Closed 2-3pm everyday looks like. They were not fresh and they only had one option of pastechis. Really wasn’t worth the wait till they opened at 3 and wish we hadn’t spent our time waiting around. Maybe first thing in the morning is better but we did not have a good experience. There was a place by the bus terminal that made the best pastechis!
Shelby Kraeger — Google review
Liked it! Tried pastechi for the first time and they were really good. I ordered 3 of them, chicken, beef and Indian samosa. There are many others on the menu but they were out of most of them, so the choices were a little more limited. One person takes you order and the other person in the back seems to do all the prep work. I took almost 20 minutes to get what looked to be pre-made pastechi. However, they are good with a soft middle and a light crunch on the outside. The filling inside is very finely chopped meat. Because there isn't much filling, you should order more than what you think you need. I ordered three and probably could have eaten five more.
Jim Tschetter — Google review
Absolutely terrible. Don’t waste your time or money. Bought 4 different seafood pastechis and they were pathetic. The shrimp had 2 very small shrimps in them in a putrid sauce. They are filled only about 1/3 of the frozen pocket. Very overpriced $20 US for the 4. Waited about 30 minutes. Staff are very unfriendly. I fed the empty pockets to the pigeons on the street. Don’t go here.
M Springer — Google review
Affordable afternoon snack. It was nice to try some Aruban food. We got there in the early afternoon and they were out of most things though (red dot means they’re out). My favorite was the Shrimp and Ricotta Pastechi. Super hot and fresh! The Spanakopita and Ham and Cheese were good too.
Emily Spradlin — Google review
First, this was my tenth trip to Aruba and finally made it to the Pastechi House, I don’t understand what all the rave is about but this place is not what I thought it would be.I had a ham cheese and a beef Pastechi and they were not tasty and the filling was minimal. Also, they didn’t have what they offered on the menu . The place was run down and dirty and most of all the customer service was very poor.PS. If you like Pastechis I would recommend you get them at Wendy’s, they are baked and they taste great..
Roger — Google review
Absolutely loved this place. Small, cute and welcoming. An extremely nice gentleman was taking orders. I absolutely loved their crab cakes. I had to keep going back for more! They have a few sauces I recommend. Their garlic, their hot and their curry, in that order. I also really enjoyed their beef croquette. Everything was perfect and affordable!

Huchada is a bakery in Aruba that is popular with locals for their inexpensive and good quality food. It's located inland, along the main road, and serves soups and other dishes at lunchtime.
Delicious & so much variety of goods! Fast and friendly service as well. We will be back to try lunch next time!

Great breakfast and delicious baked goods, both savory and sweet. Stopped by twice during our trip. It was busy both times but the line moved fairly quickly. We both got an egg breakfast and shared a piece of cake for $15 US (total), great value.

Absolutely incredible food. We stopped on our way to do some sightseeing. Such a relief to have delicious homemade food. You can tell everything is made with Integrity and love. Amazing staff helped us choose some of their top goods. We ended up going up for seconds. Highly recommend!! Worth the stop for awesome local lunch. Enjoy it outside on their patio!

Local gem, great breakfast, and a huge variety of desserts. Fresh and delicious, ask for Natalia, she is amazing.

Great local food spot for breakfast and lunch. We bought several savory pastries (cheeseballs, pestechi varieties, cheese arepas, and a spinach ricotta strudel) for take-out and it did not disappoint. If you dine-in, you have more traditional options like eggs any way you like, soups, sandwiches, etc. Highly recommend and will come back!

If you are Latina you will get this place. It reminded me so much of Brazilian bakeries from my childhood, I miss them as in the USA they don't have such places like this.We had chicken pastechis, cheese balls, croqueta, fried empanada (bacalao), spinach quiche, piece of cashew cake (not so sweet, perfect!). Staff was nice and prices are cheap.
Denise Tanaka — Google review
We stopped in to Huchada on a Sunday morning for breakfast en route to the National Park. Our expectation was to have a quick bite and be on our way. I should first say that In planning my Aruba vacation, I read MANY reviews and based dining choices off of reviews. Huchada had a lot of positive feedback, but sadly we were less than impressed. While staff is very friendly, the service was incredibly slow. We were there for close to 2 hours for BREAKFAST. When we finally ordered, my friend and I both decided on omelettes which took a long time. His arrived nice and hot, with melted cheese, but not as he ordered it. My omelette would have been so much better had it been hot. It was barely warm and the cheese hadn't even melted. There is a bakery there as well and as first timers, sitting in the restaurant waiting to order, then waiting for our meal, and waiting even more for the check(a half hour, despite attempts to get staffs' attention), we observed other patrons ordering in the bakery area and then sitting down. Lots of locals visited while we were there and were served more quickly. Maybe it was just too busy of a day and not enough help, but sadly I wouldn't return.

Great service, even greater variety of savory snacks and pastries. Huge local crowd. Ask for daily specials. Covid-19 ready. Update: place just got a freshly paint job. Just missing some music now. Update: Whole place has air-conditioning now, this has made an major impact on the customer delight. Service also has improved considerably since many improvements have been made towards this. Music has been added. Still one of the best local eateries on the island.

The Dutch Pancakehouse in Aruba is a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu features a variety of pancakes and other items, including vegetarian and vegan options. There is also gluten-free food available. The pancake restaurant accepts American Express and Mastercard, as well as Visa.
This place is busy and deservedly so. Be prepared to wait in line at least 15 minutes if you are not willing to wake up early.I first had the Fruit Delight (15.50 US) which had bananas, strawberries, and blueberries topped with powdered sugar. What I have to say that the toppings were fully ripe, not sour at all. The pancake was well done with some heft. I was fully satisfied with this. Yet I knew wanted more ....What I ate accompanying this meal was the scrambled egg and toast with sausages (9.75 US). Eggs were fresh and of a good portion. The sausages were a bit shriveled up and lean, but I expected that. Also comes with a side of salad with that Aruba tomato/mayo dressing. Toast was good.My friend had a serving of bacon, and as typical it was very crispy because it was deep fried. I suspect they this is the way that restaurants do it on this island.I had a great time eating here, and it deserves all the praise given to it.

Tasty — and different — breakfast in Oranjestad. The sweet pancakes were the big hit at our table. Line was long but it moves a bit faster than I expected. Service was friendly. I’ll go back.

Best place for breakfast! We had the mini pancakes with Nutella which are perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth, and the savory season Dutch pancake. It was the best breakfast place on the island and we went back multiple times!
Mishaal Tanveer — Google review
We had breakfast here twice on vacation because we really liked the food. And don’t let the long line discourage you, the wait really isn’t that bad. Besides, the food will make up for it. My husband and kids enjoyed the pancakes and I used a few sides to create my meal. The portion sizes are great and so are the prices. We actually ordered more than we needed because we didn’t realize how much we’d be getting. I think this place is a must in Aruba and we’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely LOVE this place. Breakfast foods are my favorite & I haven’t had food this good in a long time. Latoya, one of the servers, was super sweet, helpful and kind. This is the place to go when you’re in Aruba.

Read so many reviews about this place and agree with most! Very unique breakfast spot-everyone tried something different and all had goos things to say. Their pancakes are "crepe" style with all kinds of topping choices. Yes a wait is normal but goes fast <15 minutes ish. Coffee delish too. Located in a shopping plaza with other shops. Parking very close.

Can't make reservations. Just be prepared to wait. 🤭 The hostess not so friendly, but when we were seated, the food assistant made up for what they lacked. The food was good I've never eaten a Dutch pancake so this was a first time experience. I got berries and bananas and then I got the waffles the next day. The mimosa was the highlight of that visit overall for me. As for King Lemonade he ordered the Dutch pancake as well but he didn't care for it at all so he ended up getting the tiny pancakes, which he enjoyed both visits. The bacon came diced up, but crunchy. The eggs were not as good as I would have liked, but still edible. The service overall was really nice.@according2teau 👽🦄

Dutch pancakes are delicious and the Dutch Pancakehouse knows what they are doing! I know all those “sweet” pancake options look tempting, but I would highly encourage you to try a savory pancake, we’ve gone back twice and the savory flavors have blown us out of the water. Prices are reasonable and all seating is under an outdoor patio with great people watching. You will likely run into a significant line in the mornings.

Probably the best breakfast food I’ve ever had. The pancakes are actually like crepes, so if you’re expecting American, thick pancakes, don’t be surprised. There are so many delicious add ons. I got the Chocolate Delight with ice cream. The waitress was very good at taking our order, we were a table of 9 and had 5 different tabs. Most restaurants mess this up understandably but she had no trouble. We did wait about 40 minutes to be seated but the food was definitely worth the wait. This place is a must if you’re visiting Aruba!
Laraib Mahmood — Google review
all the reviews said to try the pancakes and crepes here so on our last day we stopped here for brunch before heading to the airport.the place is small and they are busy during breakfast so there was a wait to sit down - and all seats are outside.we got the side of fruit, hash browns, potatoes with onion, mini pancake with chocolate sauce and regular pancake with fruit. the regular pancake was more like a crepe but there was lots of fruit and the size of the crepe was big. the mini pancakes were alright but we had the same on the street the night before. the hash browns were decent and the potatoes were really good.overall a decent place for breakfast if you are in the area

Place is located at the marketplace and we went right before it got busy! The food is good but i found the ham and egg pancake to be a little undercooked. We also ordered the breakfast platter which came with eggs, toast, 2 triangle hashbrowns, mini pancakes, and fruit. The fruit was disappointing! The coffee was delicious though! People are quick and kind!
Monis Celina — Google review
The varieties that are available here are extensive but they all look so good you’d want to try them all. Awesome co*cktails, sweet or savory pancakes and sides to die for. There is however quite a lengthy wait as there is always a line. I’d highly suggest going as early as possible. Although admittedly, the turnover wasn’t that horrible. The location is pretty central with loads to do within the area.
Omar Nathaniel — Google review
Be prepared to wait in a long line to get a seat at this restaurant. The Dutch pancakes are scrumptious and the mini fluffy pancakes too. We loved everything we ordered!! My family is vegetarian, and when we sat down and saw the menu, we were a little worried we wouldn't be satisfied. But we were wrong. There was veggie Dutch pancakes options in the savory section and it was so yummy. The sweet options were just as delicious. Highly recommend trying this spot out. It's not a out of an ordinary restaurant in terms of thr atmosphere, but the food carries all the weight in my review.Wish they had breakfast burritos or sandwiches, that would be awesome.

my wife said this should be the first dutch pancake house to visit as it is the original or the first one in the island... all the dutch pancakes we ordered were amazing... it was our first time having one and so i guess this is a good start... linda's coffee was also good as per my wife... great place to visit no doubt...

Early morning pick me up. Found pancakes. Dutch pancake’s that is, well specifically Linda’s. Quite the different from American-style pancakes. Thick vs thin. Lots of breakfast variety. The service was quick. Sat on the patio. Ordered a variety of pancakes. Very fulfilling. The fruit is so fresh on the island, so be sure to order. Couldn’t bear to eat all of my food, but it was plentiful. It’s not easy making thin pancakes, but surely found the magic. Oh yeah, do not go heavy on the, “syrup!” It is not the same in the US, way thicker and sweeter. Almost like molasses😳 Good experience, if you like different.

Delicious! I still think I like the Dutch pancake house by the Renaissance better, especially since they have the silver dollar pancakes, but if you’re short on time this spot is still delicious! We had the apple and bacon pancake which actually works well together (I’d add cheese to it next time though!)And perk of this spot is there’s a parking lot!The coffee is good and the Bloody Mary was tasty but I’ve had better, but no complaints!

Perfect place. The pancakes were very surprising. I've never liked dishes like this! But here they are cooked superbly and very tasty. I recommend. The cafe premises and hall are not large but clean. The service is friendly and calm. The staff and pastry chef know their job very well.

There can be a wait to be seated here. But definitely recommended. The Dutch Pancakes are thin and full of flavor with many options from sweet to savory. I chose my own toppings of ham, bacon and gouda cheese. My wife chose the sweet option of walnuts (baked inside the pancakes), brie cheese and apples with a side of honey.

This place is so cute! Good service and great pancakes. I made my own with fruit and honey. It was unlike any pancake I ever had, but reminded me of a crepe in a way. Fresh oj & coffee were good as well.

Linda's Dutch Pancakes is a must! Our breakfast was absolutely the best. My husband went for the Farmer's Omelet and he really enjoyed it. I went for the Create Your Own and went with walnuts and blueberries. The best decision I made because it was so delicious. From the coffee, the pineapple juice to our food every item was so freaking good.

All I can say is WoW! Best pancake ever! I could hardly finish it so come hungry or take some home. It's so large it completely covered the plate. Here's a tip, roll it up and eat it like a big burrito! Enjoy!

Apple bacon pancake was really good. They may seem big but since they’re so thin they’re not overwhelming. The apples are cut thin and bacon is also thin so the sweet and savory flavors balance out well. Veggie omelet was also good. Would def come back to try to the sweeter pancakes.

1st time trying Dutch pancakes. It was good. If I ever had them again I would opt out of the powdered sugar. The fruit and whipped cream was more than enough sweetness. Regardless, it was a nice experience.

Although the food was good, i thought the breakfast options were limited when comparing to The Dutch Pancake House. On a Tuesday morning around 945am, i was seated right away which was convenient versus waiting 20 minutes at the The Pancake House. Service was topnotch and location is good as well. I enjoyed a dutch pancake with strawberries, bananas and Nutella. The Nutella did come on the side which i wasn’t a fan of. Overall, good ex

Our first breakfast experience while visiting Aruba. This place was great. We were seated right away and started with Linda's coffee. We then decided to share a Strawberry and Banana Pancake with a side of bacon. Everything tasted great and was very delicious!

Great atmosphere- it was Hot. Service was good.Between the gluten free upcharge and two toppings my pancake was $20.It was something to try. We just missed having a breakfast with eggs for that price.Waitress was great. Food tasted good (if you like Dutch pancakes). Pricey

First time having Dutch pancakes and this place didn't disappoint. The pancakes were excellent! Was only 5 mins from the hotel and only took about a minute to be seated when I arrived. The server was super friendly and attentive. Had the strawberry pancake and added coconut. Was one of the best pancakes I've ever had, and a great start to the day. Easy 5 stars! The only hiccup was they didn't take Amex. Just a heads up.

The pancakes were soo good we went back 3 times. Walking distance from the high rise hotels. I am gluten free and it’s by far the best gluten free pancakes ever. Lots of topping choices. Staff was friendly. It gets busy here at times but worth the wait (which really isn’t that long).

This was recommended by many, but it was very underwhelming to be honest. The Dutch pancake was neither better than a pancake nor better than a crepe. Wife had one with Brie, walnuts and honey and it was not great at all. They were also out of strawberries and blueberries at like 11am. I wouldn’t go back.

I enjoyed this place a lot. The Dutch pancakes tasted great when combined with the Dutch syrup. The service was excellent and the staff was polite. Most importantly, the prices weren't too crazy and didn't break the bank.

The Aruba Experience Cafe is a quaint patisserie located in the heart of downtown Aruba. The cafe is home to a variety of delicious breakfast options, as well as light lunch fare. The exterior of the cafe features an authentic cunucu house, adding an extra layer of atmosphere to proceedings. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and delicious breakfast experience in Aruba!

Take the detour! This was a little tucked away from the high traffic areas, but well worth it. The authentic Aruban food was spectacular. We had the I Am Creative assortment. Best black beans and real scrambled eggs I've ever had. The Dutch cheese was incredible. The design was so charming and the outdoor seating as well (best on a cool, early morning). The staff was very attentive and professional.Let me not forget the coffee. It was some of the best coffee I've ever had. I had a black coffee with cream. AMAZING! On my return trip to Aruba, I will be coming again.

Don't think about it, just go. It's a short walk from the cruise port but your taste buds will be rewarded. Fresh orange juice, excellent espresso, and we trusted the advice of our server and ordered the "I am Wonderful" and as the name suggests...it's wonderful. The flavors are all excellent and it's all made fresh to order. Not one bad thing to say about this restaurant. For sure we will be back in April.

A wonderful place to rest, just a few blocks from the main street. A great menu, a variety of hot and cold drinks. Breakfast and lunch items. The video is of the outside seating. Indoor seating has air conditioning. I had the strawberry/lemonade and it was very refreshing. I had the ham, cheese, egg croissant, it was fresh made and was excellent. My wife had one of their salads and she enjoyed it. The menu was extensive, 6 pages, only took pictures of the first few pages. Would recommend it to anybody who is walking around downtown. Nearby is the archeological museum.

Stunning building, very friendly staff. Unfortunately wasn’t impressed with coffee (too watery, milky, weak), my quesadilla was quite bland and all the stuff inside wouldn’t stick together so it kept falling apart as I was trying to eat. More cheese or smaller bits of chicken would solve it I think!

Wonderful ambiance, service and food. My partner and I ordered “I am generous” and “I am wonderful.” We partially enjoyed “I am wonderful.” Perfect tacos! We also ordered the apple crisp for dessert! Divine!!!

This is what they call a real hidden gem. It’s located just a short walk back from the main touristy drag, in a very quiet area. And it’s a proper local cafe full of locals. It stands out immediately when you turn the corner- it’s brightly coloured and immaculately beautiful. The building itself is a fully restored stone structure, and the cafe is fully air conditioned with lots of comfortable seating in each of the several rooms. There is also a wonderful bright and shaded courtyard out the back. The service is wonderful- so friendly and fluent in English. The coffee was fantastic! They absolutely know how to make excellent coffee. They also do pastries and food with a full breakfast & lunch menu. And as a bonus there’s free fast Wi-Fi too.We absolutely loved this cafe and it was a real find - so Unique and special.Highly recommended!

Love, love, love! The food was good, and the hostess and waitstaff were very nice. The ambiance is so cute and trendy. My only criticism would be that the service was a little slow... but once you're not in a rush, it's lovely. Pictured is the "I am Wonderful" with an added side of black beans and avocado; coconut lemonde and a Bellini.

Stopped here on a whim and was blessed to find such amazing food and great service. Was greeted by the owner who is extremely kind and shows great enthusiasm when it comes to the customers dining experience.I ordered the “I am creative” and it did not disappoint paired with some fresh smoothies. I can easily say that was the best breakfasts I have had in a while. The shredded beef was amazing! Hope to return one day.*On another note .. I have seen some of the reviews here and I don’t think people took into consideration how hard it can be to run a restaurant (esp a full one) on an island. As guest we must be kind and courteous to our island hosts.Sit down order a drink, take your time, put your phone away, and enjoy the moment.

Free parking lot. Friendly service. The menu is very cute because most of the items have a positive affirmation. Espresso was good. Green juice was great and fresh. The yuca tortillas were different. Their pernil was okay. Sauces were amazing. Cachapa was really good.

We were looking for a light lunch place and online reviews said to check out Aruba Experience Cafe. The place was very nice with a good ambiance and nice staff. The food was decent but a little bland. The arepa was decent and the salad was good - the sauce on the side of the salad was excellent.

This is the first place my husband and I go when we get to Aruba! It's unmatched and locally owned (female owned and operated) and off the tourist path. The arepas and coffee are incredible and the atmosphere is created with historical design of the island, can't recommend this place enough!

Leave the resort and eat at this little gem!! I discovered this place by eavesdropping on another tables’s convo during dinner and am so glad I’m nosy! Lol The atmosphere, the service and the FOOD are all amazing! It’s only 4 min walk from Renaissance (just behind) and well worth it. I had a delicious mimosa, really around and full bodied coffee with almond milk( they have all the milks lol) and a delicious plate of scrambled eggs with tomatoes, black beans, white cheese and a spinach arepa. It took everything in my power not to gobble down this massive plate. I will be back tomorrow for sure.Edit: I came back for a second day and food and service was just as consistent. In particular I want to say a big thank you to Gladys who went out of her way to accommodate some additional requests from me. She was very nice and was all about customer satisfaction.

This place is the Best. everyone was Fantastic I can't say enough about the people who make up the restaurant. food the wings with boom boom sauce were great and the fried pickles were the best, and co*cktails were the bomb they were always checking on us and made sure we were taken care of. Carlos was our server and can not say enough. Thank you for a great experience. Music was the best to listen to.

Rating is 4 stars because the food that we got was very good. Getting the food was an ordeal that would have rated a minus 1. Half of our party became frustrated and left without being seated. The fact that this a local spot and very tuned to locals may have played a part. As a first timer I asked how seating worked(grab an empty table)We then had to corner staff and request a menu and then do the same for drinks. Then again to place our order. We played two complete games of four hand UNO before we started to give the raised eyebrow to the waiter who said food would be out shortly.....part of the order were appetizers....an hour and a half in total and our food arrived minus 2 items which he said would be right out.....after a half hour he asked if we really wanted the items because he had screwed up and forgot to put order in. One of the items did make it to the bill ....the food we did receive as mentioned was very good. Burgers ,veggie burgers, homemade chips, shrimp were delicious. Waiter said it was his first night however no other staff stepped up to assist. I will probably try it again to see how it goes because the food does deliver.Update 1/21/22 Went back this week to see if last week's experience was normal or a fluke. Got the experience I have read about in other reviews. Sat down, was brought menus and drink orders taken immediately. Appetizers deliver quickly with meal arriving just as apps(fried dill pickles) were finished. Burgers were fantastic as were the homemade chips. Fried shrimp were good size and cooked perfectly. All around deserving of a 4 star rating.

I went here to have lunch. The service was decent but the food wasn't that great. The burgers were dry and there were a lot of flies while dining. It made the experience not so great. I ordered a margarita and the lemons they used weren't fresh.

Also, huge should to Karen who took care of me a few times and gave me recommendations to places to visit around the island.

Bright Bakery, the oldest bakery in Aruba, is a must-visit spot for locals and tourists alike. Established in 1941, this charming bakery offers an array of delectable treats such as pastechis available in various flavors, broodje gezond sandwiches, tuna sandwiches, baguettes cut fresh for your order, Frios (similar to ice pops), and an assortment of baked goods including pistachio cakes and prune rum cakes sold by the slice.
Great! We came here twice in our 6 day trip on two motorcycle adventures. The pastecchi and croquettes were fantastic snacks and Bright provided a nice cool air conditioned relief from the hot sun. Wide variety of delicious looking treats. Maybe we were just hot and needed a break from riding, but this place felt like an oasis in the desert.

Quick coffee stand with friendly staff to get your espresso drinks. $10 USD for a small and med iced oat latte. Unfortunately, being on an island, the shop was out of chai and matcha on day 1, and by day 2, only regular and almond milk options were left. We went over to Craft for our oat milk fix.Note that seating is outdoors in the sun. Drive-thru is also an option if you want to stay cool.

Great coffee place. They have awesome choices and we have enjoyed their cappuccino and ice caramel latte macchiato many times throughout our stay. Nice coffee from folks that are really dedicated to roasting and grinding and preparing a perfect cup. Friendly people and cute spot. The coffee wasn’t great. We ordered fairly basic drinks (cappuccino & vanilla latte) but extra ingredients were added like cinnamon. It wasn’t bad but also not great. They didn’t have the banana chocolate muffins so we didn’t get to try them but they look good.

Of the coffee places on the island, this would be the best by far. I am not going to say this is like going to Onyx in Bentonville. But for Aruba, this is as good as it gets.Small roadside shack that serves up a solid espresso.
Norm Zurawski — Google review
You really botched an idea of drive thru coffee. You have to wait until the person ordering, orders, then receives their coffee before you can order. If you are 4th in line, then well it may take 15 mins. This is not how a drive thru should work, in efficiently. I suggest the owner drives through McDonald’s etc for some pointers.

This place was a random stop for us to get a quick bite to eat before bed. The food was very delicious. We had the loaded nachos and barbecue wings. The service was amazing for the most part. They were always polite and when they saw me trying to watch the Knicks game they tried their best to find it and actually put it on for us. Our only gripes were my girlfriend waiting a while for water and the wait for the food (but it was worth it)

Walked in with 5 other people and the lady working looked annoyed we were there. She would barely acknowledge us, was super unfriendly and made us feel so unwelcome. We got our own menus and sat down and even though no one else was there she wouldn't even greet us or take our drink orders. We just sat there while she stood at the bar and ignored us so we had to get up and go down the street to a place that would actually serve us. Incredibly rude server, should be fired!

Great atmosphere, great food at a reasonable price. Service was lackluster, just two waitresses during lunch with kids running around keeping them busy. Our lunch could’ve been a quick 45 mins and in/out and it turned into 1 1/2 because of additional waiting.Food made up for the lack of service

6 months ago we had hamburgers here for lunch and it was fabulous. A week ago we went in again to eat the same burger and the meat had no flavor and the fries were very greasy. This Saturday we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and buy two hamburgers to go. And it turns out it was worse. The meat without any salt or flavor, very greasy fries and the bread looks like a bread from a few days ago that was so hard that it could not be eaten.

Patacon Urban Food, located in Savaneta, Aruba, is a popular food truck known for its award-winning patacon. This Venezuelan sandwich is a delightful combination of flavors and textures, featuring layers of ingredients that make it a mouthwatering treat.
