I recently had the pleasure of visiting the National War Museum located within the historic Fort St. Elmo in Malta. While it may not be as well-known as some of the more popular tourist attractions, I found it to be a fascinating and informative experience.The museum offers a unique and modern approach to presenting Malta's war history, utilizing videos and projections that really bring the exhibits to life. The tour is comprised of 7 stages, starting with the first inhabitants of Malta all the way through the country's independence and accession into the European Union. Everything from the famous sieges of Malta to the brave heroism of its people is covered in detail.I particularly recommend not skipping any stage particularly No. 7, which is a periodic video projection that is shown every half-hour. Many visitors seemed impatient to wait for it and moved on to the next stage, but they missed out on a truly incredible presentation. It was well-worth the wait!Overall, I would highly recommend the National War Museum to anyone interested in learning more about the rich and storied history of Malta. The modern presentation and attention to detail truly make it a unique experience.

The place is amazing, but make sure you have 3 to 4 hours to spend there otherwise you will miss a lot especially when you travel with teenagers eager to learn something new. After 2,5 hours we managed to see only five stages. We skipped 6 with kids as we spent a lot of time at stage 4 and 5 devoted to WWI and WWII and were not interested in modern history. We just ran out of the time at 18.00 and missed stage 7 which is the most recommended. The guide told us at the gate that we will manage everything in 2 hours which is misleading, but this is with all museums at Malta. Make sure you have enough time.

A great place to visit it was empty when we went at 1pm on a Sunday. Lots of history here and lots to watch and read. A must see when coming to Valletta and learning about the history of Malta. Price was 10 euro adult and 7.50 senior. Free for under 6s.

Probably the best history museum on Malta! So much information on both war and peace time of the most fortified island in human history. The price of only 10 euros is a steal as it includes both this great museum and access to the entire fort of St. Elmo which also is scattered with information boards informing you of the forts function over the years. A must for any history fan!

A must visit if you are in Malta! Full of interesting history of the Island and some great displays.Parking is difficult, I had to park further down the city and get a tour bus over at little cost.

The first part is just walking through the fortress with no signs or explanations which make you think that’s all there is. 2nd part is the museum area. Nice journey through the history of Malta broken down in 6 different rooms. The timeline comparing the events in Malta with it’s conquerors and the rest of the world offered good perspective. Wish they offered more detail about the knights and why they came here…all a bit vague.

Definitely worth a visit. Love how interactive the museum is in telling the story of Malta over 7000 years - Video films, projections on the wall, preserved clothing from medieval times are all fascinating. Also not to miss the beautiful view outside St. Elmo which is included in the €10 ticket price, well worth the value. This museum has it all for everyone.

Not so turistically exposed place describing all the war history of Malta. Modern way of presenting - videos, projections. I really enjoyed the visit. The tour consists of 7 stages - from first inhabitants of Malta, thru both sieges of Malta till Malta independence and entering into EU. Don't skip the stage No. 7! This stage is video projection that runs periodically every half-hour, many people did not want to wait to it's start, but they missed a lot!

We easily spent almost 3 hours there. Very well done and smart museum. Many informative videos, well maintained infrastructure. Many objects are preserved from the history of the island. If you love history and have time to visit it will not regret it at all.Heritage Malta has very good deals for combo tickets or club membership which may be a better choice than just a single ticket

Well worth a visit for the views . The museum is 10 euros for adults and is worth it there is plenty to view and watch the the separate parts of the museum outlining the history of Malta.

Reasonably priced entry, approx 10 euros. 7 rooms to see, each providing information on a different era of the forts use. This has a mixture of artifacts to see and some video exhibitions too. The views were also quite spectacular.

Very good museum situated within the fort complex. Well designed flow and an abundance of artefacts and content. Full of Malta’s and the fort’s history, spanning from medieval and Ottoman Empire days to joining the EU in 2004. Stroll leisurely around the exhibitions and grounds.

A great museum, without visiting it I wouldn't understand the magic of this place and the whole of Malta, a great collection and interestingly told stories, mainly military, but not only. Nice panorama from the Fort, cool price. You can get away from the overwhelming heat in the city by sightseeing.

This War Museum represents the important role Malta and its people played during World War II as well as Malta’s important military role after 1800 under British rule. However, the museum displays also items from the First World War and from the two years of French Occupation.The most important and interesting piece at the War Museum is the George Cross Medal which was given in 1942 to the whole population of Malta as a recognition for their bravery during the war. This cross now features on the Maltese flag.Highly recommend to visit!

A great place to learn about Malta's war history. It is really great value for the money you pay for entry. Many exciting exhibits with English posters and explanations attached. We spent around 3 hours here, which surprised us due to the low cost for entry. The last exhibit (an audio-visual show that runs every 30 minutes) is definitely a must before you leave. It's a great way to recap the entire visit.Definitely a great experience if you are visiting Malta 👍

This was so much more interesting than I was expecting. The fort is cool to see but the museum within is very well done. First, it is huge. The amount of history they present in vast and really described the path Malta took to independence well. Second, it is very interactive. They have well defined timelines and make great use of videos and other media.

I am very interested in WWII and write a lot about the holocaust. I wanted to see the remining fighter plane 'Faith' and was happy to be able to, here at the National War Museum. There were so many more artifacts to view on my visit - as the fort is split into 7 sections and covers 7,000 years of Maltese Military History. The architecture is breath-taking as well - just standing within the walls, knowing how this fortress was built to protect this country and its people.

We didn't have time to check out everything at our final destination of the day. It's easy to get lost exploring this place. The history of this great site is a must if you visit Valetta. You can gain a great understanding of this little island in just a few short hours.

Whether you're a WW II history buff or a fan of museums, the National War Museum is a must while visiting Valletta, Malta. There a seven different sections covering 7000 years of military history on Malta. Housed in historic Fort St. Elmo, built by the Knights of St. John in 1552, is a fascinating retrospect of ancient military events through World War One and Two. The ancient buildings that have been restored give you a feel and view of what the soldiers felt and saw. I highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting stunning Valletta.

A must visit museum if you are in Malta, tickets cost 10 Euros. The museum is very well curated and dives into the history of Malta. It took me 2 hours to see the exhibitions and I recommend going at around 4 - 4:30 as it is very quiet and beautiful.

Large War Museum in the partially restored Fort Abercrombie at the tip of Valletta. Entry price was reasonable, and there were a couple of ice cream vans parked outside so you can have something cold before you go in.Inside, the fort has been partially restored in a sympathetic style – you can visit the gun emplacements used by the British and also wander through a series of seven halls which tell the story of the fort and the role that it played in Malta’s military history – this goes right up to the present day, although there is a strong focus on the battle between the Ottoman Turks and the Knights of St John in the 16th Century. The latter sounded particularly bloody and unpleasant – I can never understand why people think time travel would be fun really, it would just expose you to the casual brutality of that type of era…Anyway, it’s a interesting museum that offers a fascinating window into the history of the island and you should probably set aside 2 hours to see it properly. Small children should probably not visit as it doesn’t offer a lot for them and is not very interactive.At one point you can see into the unrestored area of the fort – there is so much more space available waiting for restoration – I can’t imagine what they will do with it all when they get around to it.

It's a quite interesting museum of history.It looks small from outside but there actually are 2storeys and filled of all the othe ages wonders.I liked the little playroom for children, esp the fact that they prepare a special time slot for SEN children to use as a quiet room.The building itself is a beautiful historic building which they're still restoring.

Loved it, so fascinating to see all this exhibitions. It really shows the cultural wealth of Malta.Students get cheaper tickets.

I learnt a lot about Malta's archaeological history. I would have loved more visual representations of how the structures and artifacts would have been used during the different era's. Also the Archaeology building is falling apart, but its a heritage building, so I'm surprised it's not being looked after.

It was a nice place to visit. The place was missing a structure a bit, but it was interesting otherwise.Totally recommend to see kt when you visit Valletta. I don't know if it was only our luck, but it was not crowded and we got to see all the exhibitions without any troubles.

Would advise anyone to visit the temples on Malta and then visit the museum, as this made our visit all the more interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and took our time to wander through the exhibits. It’s all wonderfully put together.

Museum in heart of Valletta where you can see all about Maltese Islands’ prehistory and early history. With artefacts dating back from Malta’s Neolithic period (5900-2500BC) up till the early Phoenician period (8th – 6th Century BC), the National Museum of Archaeology is definitely your first step to understanding the richness of the land you tread on, its people and their ancestors.

For the existing displays had an excellent presentation... Wish the museum was bigger, however was worth the entrance fee especially when comparing to some other museums and sites in Malta.

Make sure to look upwards in the entrance, before the ticket turnstiles as there is a studding allegory painted onto the ceiling. The whole building is a great example of Baroque architecture in Malta. Two adult tickets was €10, we visited at about 2:30pm and there was no queue.The museum has free Wi-Fi which is strong enough to access their webpage audioguide, however we lost Wi-Fi signal when we reached the first floor.The ground floor covers the Neolithic region, with a lot of information and artefacts taken from Malta’s megalithic temples for preservation.There is no aircon in the museum with exception to The Phoenician Period room, but large floor fans are situated in most rooms. The lift wasn’t working, and there are a lot of stairs between each floor for anyone with accessibility issues.The collection across the whole museum is very impressive and I think everyone will find something (hopefully many things) that is highly fascinating to them. For me, it was seeing the original sculptures and carved stones taken from the Tarxien Temples, photos from the 1916 excavation, and learning about the mysterious deep cart ruts that have been discovered in Malta.

We really liked the archaeology museum. Tickets were only 5€ each, very good value for money. Very interesting exhibits. We spent 1.5 hour but it was nowhere near enough to see everything, which we did not quite expect, so I would recommend budgeting for a lot more time. We only got through the ground floor in that time plus a bit of the first floor. Would go back to see the rest for sure!

The main museum in Malta's old town. It's small but full of history. You should check it out. It's next to the main church.

A must see, even if you will spend only a long weekend on the island. The neolithic section on the ground floor boasts an impressive collection of neolithic statues and artefacts from Malta, and it’s a great introduction to the main archeological sites on the island (which will help you plan the trips for the following days!). There are also sections covering the Bronze age and Phoenician period. As often in Malta, there is a wealth of information available to the visitor. there are audioguides in different languages, and information panels in both English and Maltese.

Interesting museum about the history of Malta. 5 euro to enter. Not very big will only take an hour to walk around. I reccomend going if you love history or interested in history of Malta, if not skip this museum.

Sensational museum conveniently located in a magnificently appropriate formerly Knights of Malta related building. Amongst the extensive range of artifacts are important Neolithic figurines and Phoenician stone carvings and recreated scenes and abundant religious, agricultural and everyday objects. Multiple rooms contain the collections. The unique vast coin collection is properly curated and laid out including an almost complete ancient Roman Caesarian collection.Easy to navigate with both a multi-lingual brochure and talking guide. Helpful staff is a real bonus. Recommend, thank you!

Learnt a lot about the archeological aspects of Malta. Not a professional in archeology but the pieces displayed were cool and the topics were quite intriguing. I like the comics. They were creative and funny!

Nice little museum but located on one of the busiest streets in Valletta. That being said for the entry price it's worth a visit if you're out shopping.

Very good location, worth a visit, speciallyfor 5€. I totally recommend learning something about history in a nice way ! My favorite place was an exhibition of numismatics. Everything was looking great and you can download the app to have your own quite which is excellent 👌

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Beds were plush and comfy. In a family room we had 2 queen beds. Gorgeous location right on the water. Breakfast was fantastic - lots to choose from and we enjoyed sitting outside by the pool. Plenty of towels, complimentary bottled water, and free parking on site. The club lounge offered breakfast in the morning and wine and appetizers in the evening. Offerings in the club lounge were a bit limited (other than breakfast only 6-8 pm) but it was a nice view! Enjoyed the pianist in the lobby in the evening. Great amenities, comfortable well-appointed rooms! A great place to stay!

Beautiful property and lots of room to spread out during the day. With 2 pools and many different areas around the bay to sit....even an adults only area.All the restaurants were great and helped us with our various food intolerances.If anything, it would be nice to have a few activities organized by the resort to give some variety to the day. Otherwise enjoy the time by the sea and pools.

The hotel is very modern, bright and well-decorated. The location is perfect, walking distance to the shops, bars, restaurants etc.Marcin in reception did our check-in, and he was the most fantastic staff member.The room was a decent size. We loved the balcony, big plus. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of choices. The hotel offers free parking for the guests.The minor downsides were cold whirlpools and no recognition of Marriott Bonvoy members.Otherwise, we had a pleasant experience.

Spend a week at this stunning hotel in May 2023 as a family of four. Had a suite there and it was beautiful. Staff are excellent,.the pools are amazing, and there's never any issues with sunbeds.The breakfast is wonderful, extensive with everything you could want.It's a real shame that the breakfast area isn't offered as an evening buffet dinner, as this would be far more family friendly.It's location is the big plus and minus.Looking outward to the sea is an amazing view of a peaceful rocky shore and green blue water.But, step out of the hotel and you are in the heart of clubland. Not appealing at all for those with young families. It's VERY rowdy, and like the "Sin City" of Malta. It's a real shame as the hotel has it all, but it's not really a nice place to step out of the hotel at night with children. So you either need to take a taxi to Valetta or try and eat in the hotel. But without a buffet the evening dinner choices are limited for kids.A real shame.

From the warm welcome upon arrival to the exceptional service throughout my stay, the staff at Westin Malta truly made it feel like home. Their friendliness and attentiveness exceeded all expectations. As a Marriott employee attending a workshop at the hotel, I was particularly impressed by the seamless experience. The workshop facilities were top-notch, catering superb, and the hotel amenities, including the spa and fitness center, were fantastic. Grateful for the unforgettable experience and highly recommend to others visiting Malta.

I booked this hotel months out and was in contact with the hotel as I head some questions about parking and check in times. Every time I corresponded with the hotel they responded quickly, were extremely helpful, and incredibly friendly. Once our stay began and through check out the entire staff was amazing and super friendly. I stay at hotels ~90 days a year and this was by far my best experience in 2021. We'd definitely go back.

I stayed in The Westin Dragonara Resort in Malta for 3 nights, being on a business trip and I liked my stay very much. I got a large room with the sea and outdoor pool view which was well equipped and it was a quiet place to sleep which I highly appreciate. The location of the resort is right at the seashore. Breakfast was fantastic and rich in options to choose from, wellness and fitness center was well equipped and not overcrowded. I enjoyed the steam and whirlpool much, and I appreciated also a short swim in the indoor pool. Staff was friendly, professional and helpful. Basically, everything was as I would expect it to be in a 5-star hotel. Thank you for that ! :)

This is a lovely hotel with great facilities. There are 2 pools (The Reef is sea water) 2 jacuzzi, 1 small kids pool and has direct access to the sea as well. The family rooms have a kitchen with oven, hob and fridge; along with 2 bathrooms. The rooms are cleaned regularly and you are given free bottles of water daily. The showers have shampoo, conditioner and shower gel for you. Along with a mat to stop you slipping. The staff are friendly. Breakfast has a large selection and there is a choice of seating inside, middle or outside. If you order food or drink at the poolside they will bring these to you once ready. There are plenty of towels for you to use on the sunbeds. While we were there the hotel was at 95% capacity and you had no issues finding a sunbed at any time of the day - a BIG + for us.

We loved everything about the property from the warm welcome at reception to the exceptional service by the wait staff at dinner.We found it best to stay on the resort grounds and enjoy their pools.They have two outdoor pools and one indoor pool, a private Bay area great for children to swim at, and a long coastline of deck chairs to enjoy.

The best Hotel in Malta. This is not the newest but I think the best. Perfect rooms, nice upgrade for Bonvoy status member, perfect concierge team, good service at F&B at breakfast and room service. Clean rooms. The team is perfect. I would say" old lady "but in very good shape with a perfect team.

Fabulous! We stayed as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children under 10) in August and it was nothing short of perfect. The staff were faultless from concierge, to chambermaids to restaurant. The room was insane with a fab view and was huge (one of the new connecting type rooms). Breakfast was a personal highlight. Nothing they didn’t have! Staff were attentive and kind. I had a great overall experience here, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Loved my room and view, and the property itself has great views. A great location to walkable food and entertainment as well as easy to get downtown or to the airport. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great hotel, situated very close to lots of shops and restaurants. Indoor and outdoor pools so we could enjoy even when it was windy. Food was excellent in the lobby bar/ restaurant and some good choices for vegetarians and children, lots of choice at the breakfast buffet, staff were fantastic with great prompt service. Beautiful hotel. Amazing views. Rooms were lovely. Location was spot on for me. Very good parking area. Cleanliness was amazing. I had no issue during my 5 day stay. Very good selection of breakfast from the buffet. I've stayed all around the world. For me, it's ranked one of the best hotels I've stayed at for price and services provided.

My wife and I stayed for 7 days. The staff was welcoming and provided to our every request. The lounge is nice and provides a nice hideaway from the rest of the property. 6-8 pm a light meal and drinks are served. The lounge staff was very friendly. The check in team was awesome, our room was not ready but they took our international phone number and called as soon as it was. We were able to check our bags into a waiting area and they were delivered later that day to our room. Each day we enjoyed the breakfast on the Terrace. The staff was very attentive and the meals were very nice and a huge variety of options. Many other great features and we hope to be back soon with the rest of our family.

Can't say enough about how great the Westin in Malta was for our family. Hotel staff was exceptional and helped reserve our driver on Gozo, and a private boat to Blue Lagoon from the dock of the hotel. Executive lounge was exceptional with food and service. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Pool was the perfect temperature and restaurants were great after a long day, especially if you just want to enjoy something with effort. Restaurants and shopping is just a block away.

Had a wonderful stay at this resort in the heart of the nightlife area of Malta. The rooms and amenities were very good and the service was top-notch. Special shout out to Yarena who helped us out with some complex reservations and ensured it was as easy as possible for us. Would absolutely return.

Our stay at this hotel was good overall, despite the a bit too old room (loud toilet flushing, door frame of the toilet not in best condition). Regarding the location, it is great at the sea but be aware that it can be difficult due to waves and slippery stairs to swim in the sea. The pools are great too.Breakfast was exceptional!What made our stay great, was the very friendly staff. They paid a great level of attention and always been very polite while having a warm smile. I would like to mention especially Sarroj who we talked to a bit and he gave his absolute best to make it a great stay for us. Thanks again!Also our short but great contact with the customer relationship manager was very nice and he was very helpful.A little advice overall is to check out the area beforehand, we knew Paceville was said to be the party area, so our expectations were like that. If you come there without checking, it can be a surprise. But the hotel is very quite, like a gated community, at the shore.We enjoyed the time at the Dragonara and can recommend it.

We booked for 6 nights into a 'Sea View, Tower Guest Room' at€490 a night. The room has a MAGNIFICENT view, and well worth the additional cost.On the first night the air conditioner was not working at all and the room was incredibly hot, so we called for maintenance. Hours went by whilst we waited and tried to get to sleep but alas no hope and we were finally moved very last to another, cooler room for the night.On the second day, the air conditioner was still broken so we didn't spend any time in our room and later that night we were brought a fan then offered to move again to cooler room to sleep.On the third day the air conditioner was finally fixed to our great relief.We received warm apologies from many staff, as well as the amazing Guest Relations Manager, Ahmed Aboushall, who sent us a bottle of wine and fruit but alas, it wasn't a great start for our stay in Malta.In hindsight, we wish that we had been immediately moved into any available room with a working air conditioner, and just charged the rate of that room.All in all a great hotel with attentive reception, dining, and concierge staff. Their maintenance response certainly needs vast improvement.

This place is magnificent. The newer Luxury Ocean Front Bay Suites are amazing rooms. Super spacious and well laid out. Big balcony overlooking the water. We had the pleasure of staying here for ten days and loved every minute of our stay. The king sized bed is one of the most comfortable beds I have every slept in.The entire staff is very helpful, courteous and polite. The rooms and hotel are very clean.The breakfast buffet is next level with every conceivable choice you could ever want. They make egg omelettes to order with about ten different options to fill your egg pocket with deliciousness.The workout gym is huge with lots of free weight and machine options. They also have a variety of cardio machines.There are two saunas next to the indoor pool. One is infared and the other is a steam sauna.The hotel also offers free parking which is a bonus because street parking looks to be a nightmare.Overall you can't go wrong choosing this place. We highly recommend it.

Just came back from a short break at Westin Dragonara and we couldn't be happier. Staff is exceptional, all hotel clean and delicious food. You will surely see us again, you gained a new customer. Keep it up all guys.

As a travel agent who travels a lot this is one of the most luxurious 5 star hotels I have stayed in.Even though they did not respond to my initial email, when I go here the service was 5 star all round. I got a complimentary room upgrade and the experience so far has been nothing short of amazing.The staff have all been amazing, the location is gorgeous and has lots around. The rooms are absolutely stunning and this is the first time I’m leaving a review for a hotel while I am still here. Breakfast was also really good. Would highly recommend.

Excellent hotel for location and facilities at this price point. Service was amongst the best I've experienced and this was the standout feature for me. All the staff we engaged with were part of what is obviously a well organised hospitality team and the main thing? Happiness, it was infectious. This is what 'Good' looks like and a credit to the Marriott Bonvoy brand. From reception, cleaning, pool and restaurant & bar teams, Fabio, Adrian, Oltionii and everyone else, thank you for making out stay really memorable. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Malta and we will definitely be back at some point.

Make sure you document minibar before you leave, though go shouldn’t have to do this I recommend it for this hotel.Very bad experience at the M Club lounge. As platinum member I have access, but I was not put on the paper list always giving me trouble. Today the attendant was especially appalling. I ask him to phone the front desk to confirm my access, he said that wasn't possible. How in the world is that not possible?? Then after back and forth with me having to call the front desk myself and hand the phone to the attendant, he finally accepted I have access, BUT then proceeds to say it wasn't his fault, and holding up the paper with the access list and telling me I'm not on there. Very patronizing and unacceptable. Other staff members were superb, but one bad apple can ruin the whole experience.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights with our 3 month old daughter and everything was just perfect! We had a great welcome and everyone was very helpful, making sure we had everything we needed at all times and offering a service with a smile. The suite we were in was beyond amazing - spacious, comfortable, clean and with all we needed including a cot and kitchenette! And what a view! Food, both room service and at the restaurants, was delicious, not to mention the breakfast buffet offerings so many different options. We were also able to make use of the indoor heated swimming pool and sauna, and various other amenities were also available. Parking on premises is included and the hotel is very close to restaurants and shopping malls. We've been to the Westin a few times as a couple and with family friends, and the experience has been consistently positive - we cannot recommend it enough and always look forward to returning.

Used to stay there for a long duration for Business Trips and looking forward to visit this Hotel again. It is a special part in my life and i love to tell all my stories about this time.It is for sure on my bucket list to bring my Family to this place.Great time back in 2013-2015 :-)

Glamorous from the outside and nicely decorated from the inside. Fast and simple registration, plenty of slots to play, a few roulette tables and black jack also. If you wish you can play a poker tournament (entry fee is 45€).

Wonderful evening. Didn't lose too much. The place was really busy. Set in the grounds of the wesrin hotel. This was a Palace before the renovation. The food is really well prepared and cooked and very tasty. Definitely recommend you take a visit

Very unique casino since it is located in the edge of the San Giljan harbour and it used to be a palace.Even though it is quite smaller than a regular (European) casino the experience was excellent - friendly people are working in this medieval casino and i would definitely recommend it.!Good luck!

The Casino is a beautiful Building.Registering is easy and quick (contrary to other's claims??) Just take your Passport 👍Upon entering, the inside did remind me of the Belagio in Vegas, there are lots (and I mean LOTS) of Slot Machines 😕The Casino has about 12 Tables offering Roulette, Blackjack and Poker. The Croupiers are really friendly, which I thought was great. They don't 'bark' at Customers when they make mistakes or don't understand how to bet, and explain what people need to do 👍The Casino has a nice relaxed feel to it, you don't need to Dress up to visit (people wore shorts and Trainers )The other thing I liked is the 'Minimum Bets', I thought given how 'Flashy' the building is, it would be expensive, I was wrong 😁, Minimum Bets are:- Roulette = €2- Blackjack= €5As others have stated, drinks are also cheap 👍 Hendrics & Tonic + Glass of Rose was about €8, which is super cheap 👍😁Even though I left 'down', I still liked the Casino 🙂A great place to visit 👍

Nice casino, blackjack minimum bet is €10. Good ambience, was busy on a Saturday night (might take you a few minutes to get a seat at a table).Lots of elderly regulars sat spending their pensions on the slot machines.

As casinos go this is a pretty good place! Great selection of slots. Machines really new. Registration was easy (passport or drivers license). You get a 10 euro free play as a new visitor. Separate, totally enclosed section for smokers (great!). All the common table games; roulette was good and minimum bet of just 50c made it really worthwhile. They come round and take drinks orders (but service is not the fastest). Slots did not seem too tight and was good fun. Place itself is pretty compact. They also have a brasserie (did not try) and apparently provide free transport but you have to book in advance and slots fill up. Staff friendly and helpful. Had fun and will come back next time I'm in Malta.

Cool environment in historic building but a lot smaller inside than expected. 2 black jack tables, 1 roulette and few other card tables (against the dealer) and the rest slots. Great service. Nice co*cktail area with outdoor space. I was there on a Monday night and still a good crowd all night.

Beautiful casino on a beautiful location. As far as game play is concerned on a random evening at poker tables, there is very little action. Tournament of 25 EUR and some 1/3 cash game table. While waiting for tournament to begin I spent a buy in worth on 3 beers. Not sure what is the purpose of a 25 eur tournament in a gambling heaven like Malta is. After the tournament I went to a black jack table to try some luck, minding my own business, and some local thug mafioso loud guy starts talking to me in Maltese. I tell him that I don't understand and he continues to flap his mouth to a dealer. Supposedly, I was LOOKING at him and he was telling the dealer to tell me to keep my head to the table. I asked the dealer what the problem is and asked if I did something wrong and she told me to keep my head down, taking his side... Imagine that, me playing for my money, minding my own business, and the dealer tells ME not to look around... Very beautiful but also unsafe place. I doubt that I will go there ever again.

The most stylish casino of Malta. Beautiful building and surroundings. Worthy of a visit even if you don't gamble.

If you’ve never been to a casino, is a very nice place to enjoy something different. The main attraction are the slots, which are 80% of the games you can play there. There are live tables with minimum bet of €5. Still, the blackjack one has a minimum wager of €25, too expensive.

This large casino is located directly underneath the Intercontinental Hotel in St Julian’s – this was useful as I was also staying there.My first casino experience, you need to become a member to enter and play the games – this was free and relatively straightforward, you just needed to bring ID with you for your first visit and sign up for a membership. Membership has several tiers – the starter level for most people will be bronze. You get various offers on your first visit, including half price drinks.The casino itself comprises a number of large rooms with gaming machines and tables for roulette and various card games. There are a couple of bars and waitresses roam the rooms checking for drinks orders. Very efficient bar staff – they remember your order after only a couple of visits. Standard bar prices also very reasonable.Gaming machines are my thing, so I stuck with those – there are lots of different ones and you can bet anything from 20C right up to 10Euro or more a spin – I liked Gong Hei, Gong Hei, which is very similar to Eye of Horus or Fishing Frenzy, but with Chinese symbols. Also Lord of the Ocean was very good and a couple of others I forget. Overall this wasn’t my week, in terms of results, but I did enjoy several hours of playing over the course of 6 days and the chance to play some different machines was good.Something unusual, coming from the UK, is that you could smoke inside in one of the larger casino rooms – it’s been such a long time since smoking was banned indoors here that I’d forgotten what it was like to be in a smoked-filled room. You can avoid that room if it bothers you though. Me, I found it nostalgic.

Konstantin D did not think my wife’s ID was good enough for his establishment. We are literally Diamond Ambassador members at the hotel… 50 meters from the entrance but that was not good enough. Very confusing because I had an ID from another country which I’m not a resident from (which they accepted), but my wife’s government ID from The USA was not good enough. I’m honest; everyone was very nice and polite, but it was very ridiculous that we stay in the hotel and can’t get into the Casino. Folks from outside the hotel got in with government IDs from their country. I guess the main issue is my wife’s ID is recognized across the USA, but they were asking for a state ID which is easily obtainable. It is what it is. I’d stay away unless you have a passport. I probably dodged a bullet. Good luck.

Casino Malta is very welcoming. With all the staff that work there always being very friendly. Been a few times in the last few months and I don’t have anything bad to say about the casino or the staff (only bad thing is I lost on Black Jack last time I visited) 😭

It's a very large casino with many different table games, slot machines, etc.. there is also a smoking section inside, so you never have to leave the casino.

Stopped in to check this place out. For new players they were offering a 10 euro match play for table games, 50% off drinks and some slot offer that wasn't that great. Played some Blackjack and left winning just about 1,000 euros.Drink prices are very reasonable especially with the 50% off. The place overall is nice, a little on the older side but I'm used to Vegas casinos but no reason to stop you if you are in the mood to gamble. The entire staff were very friendly and helpful.

Went to this casino last night. The 2 managers don't understand English and their customers is so pathetic. On arrival before registering I said if you do Punto banco then only you register me otherwise don't bother wasting time. The receptionist lady said yes and request to manager. The managers couldn't not meet the request. Hence they signed me up for janket where you have to pay 7,500 deposit for an VIP experience. On paying the VIP experience was terrible. As a result I requested to give my money back on the card. This could not be carried out according to then which is like a fraud. Today I m here they are saying management decided because of my behaviour I can't play which two managers said absolutely lies about me. When asking to pay my money back today there are still unable to sort of this issue because they seem to be fraud. Please avoid.

Is it the best casino you have ever seen? Absolutely not, especially if you have been around Europe or Vegas.But the location is great to escape the crowds and the wild parties going on nearby.The staff are generally friendly and helpful, things might be slow but you’re handled in a nice way at least.The machine collection is very poor, people are smoking everywhere, generally sad atmosphere, and machines breaking all the time.I put some money in the machine and it broke immediately, I had to wait 20 minutes to restart the machine to get my money back. But I wad there to have “fun” so I didn’t let it stop me.I moved to play BJ to realize what the other reviewers were saying… the minimum bet is 20€ with terrible odds against you (hidden decks, auto shuffle every hand) just killing the skill and fun of playing Blackjack.Roulette on the other hand has min 2€ and min 5€ tables so that was at least good. But beware of the small print! Min bet on color or odd/even is 50€!! Pretty ridiculous ngl. Not only that but the table screen doesn’t match the games. The monitor said we are playing American Roulette but the table was European Roulette. When I asked the dealer, he said just ignore that..As for poker, the poker club was closed and games were open. When I asked about it at the reception, they said I can ask around in the lobby and collect customers to play poker.. yea, no, that’s not my job.. 😅

Was the most interesting casino in Malta although I lost every day and there was no poker. For first timer they have few promotions and the quality of drinks is OK. It's much more interesting to visit during battle of Malta tour when the poker room works and there is a lot of players around.

Security and front desk is actually really nice people but the manager is rude, and uneducated when it comes to the casino industry. Be nice to your bartender, Server, table server but the general manager say what you feel

Casino is fantastic, the bar staff are great. The bar staff are really friendly and know how to make you feel welcome. Happy hour is a real treat too - 2 co*cktails for €6

Ate here for lunch. Not busy in the afternoon. Comfortable seating with a nice view of the bay. Iced coffee came with whipped cream on top (pleasant surprise!) Food was pretty good. We enjoyed their pizza and burger. Most of the flavour for the burger came from the sauce and caramelized onions though.. the patty itself was pretty basic.

Just had a delicious (so did the Mrs) ‘Brothers’ burger. Extremely tasty and the service is 1st class. View over the bay it’s a must place for an early evening bite to eat. DJ stats at 8pm!!

The food itself is definitely worth more than 3 stars.When you want to make a reservation for the evening, and they tell you it’s full, just go anyway and you’ll be seated in a few minutes.Sometimes they keep the roof terrace closed for no obvious reasons.

Great location and friendly staff. Can get pretty busy so I would totally recommend calling ahead and making a reservation.The prices can be a bit high but understandable for the location and the quality of food.The food was pretty good, big portions, and perfect plating skills.The only thing is, it could take some time for your order to be taken and/or prepared which is also understandable. The drinks are amazing and there is a huge caramel of drinks to choose from!

We ate here twice during our stay. Both times the meals were excellent. Paid about €25 each for a main course and drinks. Can highly recommend the duck (under poultry on the menu) and the Brothers Burger. The chocolate fondant was also delicious. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Worth noting that at night they roll the soft roof back which means customers can smoke "inside".

- The place is well located with a nice view on the “rooftop/terrace”- The waiting time was near to zero;- The service perfect, the waiter that we had was always ready to provide the best service and we could feel very welcomed.As for the food, it’s definitely big and good portions, as an example I couldn’t even finish the ribs that I ordered, French fries were delicious.I believe that it is a real quality value price.

Went here for lunch, very empty, but eccentrics friendly waitress, very attentive! The sesame sirloin salad is too die for! They could have more beer on tap but the wine and other drink selection is extensive!

10/10 not one bad thing about this place. Unreal food, staff and co*cktails. Served by the lovely Subin tonight, very friendly and chatty, looked after us very well and very fast service. Kept our drinks full! I’d come back to Malta just to come here again!

We booked ahead of time, was a bit disappointed in it not being a "real" rooftop but just a terrace on the first floor. The service was quick and attentive. Drinks was good. We ordered the mixed grill platter for two, there was plenty of food, but it wasn't a great quality. The wings were nice. For the price, I'd go somewhere else. It's not worth it.

Visited Malta in November 2023 with my daughter stay in the H Hotel and visited all of Hugo's restaurants. Food was outstanding friendly and welcoming. Would love to come back again.

We happened to find this restaurant and sure glad we did. We were greeted by some of the nicest staff I've ever met. All of you were fantastic even the main host. We started our early evening with drinks and then apps. We ate and listened to some great music all the while enjoying the fantastic views of the harbour. I can honestly say the calamari was a bit overdone but was none the less fantastic. Prices were great as well and they accept all major credit cards. Thanks to everyone for a great evening 👍

I give 2 points for the supervisor with an wierd attitude. We came there to eat and have fun, but he constantly interfered with the music and acted discourteously. Despite this, other staff were extremely friendly.

Roof top has spectacular view. Food is delicious. Do try dessert.

Drink was coming a little bit late, but overall experience was very good. Food was delicius drinks were good as well.
